WAKA WAKA in Africa

World Cup Football, 2010

(Participants: See below)

Thianlalmuan Ngaihte: We (referring the Argentina team) were reduced to 10 men bcos we kicked them along with the ball, moreover, we could not capitalised on our world class players...!
We (referring the Ghana Soccer team) were denied the 'semi finals' place bcos of Suarez self-proclaimed 'hand of god'. But it was Gyan penalty kicked that sounded our death knell.!
In spite of our formidable strike force, we (refering the Argentina team) could not penetrate the Germans defence line, instead They took us by surprise- They took full advantage of our weak defence!
The game played so for only reiterated that life is full of surprises. The Best does not always comes out victorious...
I have lost to the Dutch, the Uruguay and to the Germans... Left only with the Spanish. Join me in Spain.//////
Michael Lunminthang: how shall we attck the germans??
Thianlalmuan Ngaihte: We need to secure our defence first. Thats exactly what the Germans did against Argentina...once we are secure that our defence line is intact, we can go for the offensive...their victory over Argentina will make them confident enough to take on the Spanish team, and the Germans are now, no doubt the favourites. But any thing can happen in the field...you know surprises and surprises...
Michael Lunminthang: i agree. Torres recent form is worrisome... he can't create enough space and chances for David like before. i see a lack of cordination in the attacks than the defence
Ginna Haokip: England kicked out, Italy humiliated, Brazil humbled, Argentina thrashed....!!!!but Ghana lost with dignity and Germany ...???...is faster, higher and stronger....!!!
Michael Lunminthang: Germany will be tamed by Spain....don't worry.
Thianlalmuan Ngaihte I like this line of Ginna 'Ghana lost with dignity'.
Michael Lunminthang: Ba Gin has become a very literary..
Thianlalmuan Ngaihte: I sometimes think 'can there be dignity in a war?' Considering that this is a war, a war of a different kind,,...will the vanquished feels that They still live a dignified life... ? After all, this is a soccer war fought with boots, muscle power.........
Michael Lunminthang: Every thing is fare in love and war....Remember the quotation????hahaha
Yeah, i think all competitions r war like situations.
Thianlalmuan Ngaihte: Thats true Mike... All is fair in love and war which means- absence of dignity, honesty, selflessness and all those noble virtues that human race have been crying or trying to achieve since time immemorial...
